IPS Officer (Police)

For 10th: Completion of 10th grade.
For 12th: Completion of 12th grade in any stream.
For Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university is required.

The selection is through the **Civil Services Examination (CSE)** conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The stages include:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective type questions).
- Main Examination (Descriptive type).
- Personality Test (Interview).
After selection, candidates undergo rigorous training at the **Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA)** in Hyderabad.

Undergraduate Courses:
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science, Sociology, or Public Administration.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
- Any other degree from a recognized university.
Postgraduate Courses:
- Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Administration or Political Science.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Public Policy or Management (optional).

State Police Services (Superintendent of Police, Deputy Inspector General, Inspector General).
Central Armed Police Forces (CRPF, BSF, CISF, etc.).
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Intelligence Bureau (IB).
Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Traffic Police and Railway Police.
