IES Officer (Engineering)

REQUIRED INTELLIGENCES
ELIGIBILITY
  • For 10th: Completion of 10th grade.
  • For 12th: Completion of 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • For Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in any of the following fields:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
ENTRANCE TESTS
  • **UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE):** The only gateway to become an IES Officer. This examination is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The selection process consists of:
    • Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
    • Main Examination (Conventional Type)
    • Personality Test/Interview
AVAILABLE COURSES
  • Undergraduate Courses:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
    • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Postgraduate Courses (optional but beneficial):
    • Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in relevant engineering fields.
    • Master of Science (M.S.) in specialized engineering areas.
