IES Officer (Engineering)
ELIGIBILITY
- For 10th: Completion of 10th grade.
- For 12th: Completion of 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- For Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in any of the following fields:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
ENTRANCE TESTS
- **UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE):** The only gateway to become an IES Officer. This examination is conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The selection process consists of:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Conventional Type)
- Personality Test/Interview
AVAILABLE COURSES
- Undergraduate Courses:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
- Postgraduate Courses (optional but beneficial):
- Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in relevant engineering fields.
- Master of Science (M.S.) in specialized engineering areas.
