Govt. Finance Officer

For 10th: Completion of 10th grade.
For 12th: Completion of 12th grade in any stream, though commerce is recommended for a better foundation.
For Graduation: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, or any related field is required.

For recruitment, the following exams may be required:
- **UPSC Civil Services Examination** – for posts like Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS), Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), and Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
- **State Public Service Commission Exams** – for positions like State Finance Officers or Auditors.
- **SSC (Staff Selection Commission)** exams for finance-related roles in various government departments.

Undergraduate Courses:
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with a specialization in Accounting or Finance.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance or Economics.
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics.
Postgraduate Courses:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.
- Master of Commerce (M.Com.) in Accounting and Finance.
- Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics or Public Policy.

Finance Officer in State and Central Government departments.
Auditors and Accountants in government agencies.
Budget Analysts for ministries or municipal corporations.
Controllers in Public Sector Units (PSUs).
Finance roles in defense services such as Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IAAD), and Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS).
Revenue services in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
Roles in financial oversight bodies such as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
