Job Title: Intern Counsellor

Designation: Intern ( 6 Months)

Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children in orphanages and similar institutions? Join us as an Intern Counsellor and contribute to our mission of providing counseling support to children. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in counselling psychology while making a meaningful impact on the emotional well-being of children in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in conducting individual and group counseling sessions for children.
  2. Support the implementation of counselling programs and interventions tailored to the needs of the children.
  3. Collaborate with the counselling team to develop and implement strategies for promoting emotional resilience and well-being.
  4. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and progress.
  5. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss the progress and challenges of the children.
  6. Provide support and guidance to children in coping with personal challenges and transitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Empathy and compassion for working with children facing adversity.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  5. Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the children and the institution.
  6. Previous experience working with children or in a counselling setting is preferred but not required.
